So, more photos from our training day/weekend in Watford in March...

Not altogether sure what's going in this photo. I think by this time, we were getting just a lil bit silly. Spending a good 8-10 hours in a car will do that to you. Plus we checking in was interesting since we didn't understand the receptionist's accent (Eastern European possibly?) and she didn't understand ours...and we're hungry.

Me, pointing out the 'Papa John's' sign (our saviour providing us food...) but actually I'm inadvertently pointing to the place we stayed our first night in Watford!

Pizza. Food. It makes us happy...
A wee gap now. We didn't take photos inside the travelodge. We were busy eating pizza, experiencing the really gross toilet (had it ever been cleaned? We were left unsure...), watching Red Nose Day.
Watching Red Nose Day was very strange, as they had so many clips of celebrities visiting different projects and hospitals in Africa. We couldn't help but think how the next day we were getting prepared to see some of the things they were showing us firsthand in the not too distant future. Suddenly it all seemed so very real, and much closer to home.

Soul Survivor Watford.
Where our training took place. The industrial unit in the photo is where we slept on the Saturday night.

Lunchtime break.
We had stopped in an Asda in Watford on the Friday evening to get lunch/breakfast for the Saturday. We felt we had to buy these crisps for matters of patriotism since they were Scottish crisps!

Late night Scrabble while camping out on the cold, drafty floor.
Can you tell we were pretty exhausted by this point?
You know meeno, farter and tuch are totally real words. You'll find them in the Jud & La Imaginary Dictionary. Soul in the City version...
